OUR HISTORY

HIPDET is a modern progressive tertiary training institution dedicated to developing professional capacities into young people and assisting them into lucrative careers. As the name implies, HIPDET was inspired by the mission of its founders. Created in 2015 in Bamenda- Cameroon, the institution was granted accreditation in 2015 as a Vocational training institution by the Ministry of employment and Vocational training and in 2016 following our contribution in the vocational sector in the country, the institution was accredited as a private university by the ministry of Higher education.

We strive to accomodate a proactive and progressive professional educational environment, that identifies and addresses the changing developmental and professional needs of trainees s, empowering transformational change toward self-awareness and community participation.

Professional education is concerned with the growth of student’s intellectual, emotional, social, physical, artistic and creative potentials. We are unique as a leader in the research, design, and implementation of Professional education using state-of-the-art technologies. Our collaborative alliances and partnerships with industry leaders bridge 21st Century learners with 21st Century technology and Cameroon’s emerging economy by 2035.

We equally strive to provide alternative state-of-the-art professional educational and living environment for students using peer-community development protocols and transformative processes, supportive of the community socio-economic structure, resulting in habilitated and productive professionals who contribute to society.

We believe our first responsibility is to prepare the students to meet the challenges of the rapidly changing Cameroon. Our strategy in a peer-based community atmosphere facilitates students to perceive and understand the various contexts that shape and give meaning to life. Introducing students to a professional view of the Country, life on Earth, the emerging world community, and the students’ interdependence demonstrates best practices of systems thinking. The environment and staff will nurture the development of emotional and multiple intelligences empowering each student’s personal growth. Engaging systems thinking requires student involvement in the research and design of their educational process, which creates ownership of learning.

A collaborative approach toward problem solving develops critical interpersonal skills. Emerging technologies and their integration into our curriculum provide the students with real-time real-world experiences that prepare them for entering professional life.

Primary areas of concern are commerce, education, administration of resources, and intense exploration into the depths of what keeps us afraid, angry, ignorant and immobile.
